Pickleball Survey
Over the last couple of years the tennis players that use the courts on Gard Street in Kelseyville have been looking into the possibility of making significant improvements. Over the last year or so as our Association started hearing from several residents that it would be nice to have pickleball courts here in Kelseyville. As we moved forward with making these improvements we thought this might be the perfect time to add this recreational activity. However, we thought we needed to know the extent of the interest throughout the County. It was decided that we should take a survey.
We developed an online survey form that we put up on our website and let residents know about the survey by partnering with Lake County Chamber of Commerce. They distributed a flyer that provided information about how to take the survey to all the business in the County. We also notified the local news outlet and local radio station.
We put the survey online in early June and as of the time of writing this post we have had 82 responses with 98% of the respondents supporting the addition of pickleball courts. It is also worthy to note that over 30% of respondents do not play tennis and over 40% live outside of Kelseyville. This facility could truly be a regional facility serving the entire County.
